Here’s What California’s New Gun Laws Will Really Accomplish

Those of you who are living in the anti-gun state of California are brave souls and I applaud you for staying put and digging in to fight for your gun rights.

Although the sweeping “gunmegeddon” restrictions against Californian’s Second Amendment rights go into effect July 1, 2017, Ben Boychuk of the Sacramento Bee says the only thing these gun laws deserve is contempt.

Many otherwise law-abiding gun owners simply will not comply with the new rules on ammunition purchases and the ban on high-capacity magazines.

And why should they? The state lacks effective means of enforcing the new laws, which now ban the possession of magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

After July 1, you will have just three legal options for disposing of these magazines: remove them from the state, sell them to a licensed dealer or turn them in to the police.

Or you will keep your mouth shut and keep your magazines stashed.

I do not advocate flouting the law. But nor do I advocate being naive. After July 1, tens of millions of illegal ammunition magazines will remain in private hands. And there is not much the state can do about it.

That’s the problem with sweeping and arbitrary bans. People have a much stronger incentive to resist than to comply.

Unless they plan on going door-to-door and searching each and every home for these magazines, they cannot enforce these new laws. So congrats, progressives: you have accomplished putting law-abiding citizens in a position where they need to make a conscious decision of whether or not they are going to become unwilling criminals.

How is it that states can commit treason of the 2nd amendment on their own? Don't all laws and bills have to be past thru congress first? How is it that they can play "OBAMA" and no action be taken to stop this? Im sorry but this pisses me off. Who the hell does the government think they are by thinking they can control the people? They have no say.
