I think a lot of folks should pay attention to this video. We must not forget the Declaration of Independence spoke very clearly about this in the second paragraph, and it was reaffirmed by Abraham Lincoln in the Gettysburg Address. The public education system has sidelined these facts, and it is an agenda for many to hide the true source of these rights...

Here is the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence in its entirety...

 

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That, to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the consent of the governed. That, whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such Principles and organizing its Powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and, accordingly, all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. That's an awesome perspective. I've concerned myself with what and how politicians have tried too and succeeded in basterizing the constitution. and myself to argue against such but that ive overlooked the declaration. Well that's a persecptive to present. I'm gonna go back. Re read the declaration. Re study. And will have a better argument against those who try to deminish both the declaration and constitution.

"Opinion of the Court c. Meaning of the Operative Clause. Putting all of these textual elements together, we find that they guarantee the individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation. This meaning is strongly confirmed by the historical background of the Second Amendment. We look to this because it has always been widely understood that the Second Amendment, like the First and Fourth Amendments, codified a pre-existing right. The very text of the Second Amendment implicitly recognizes the pre-existence of the right and declares only that it “shall not be infringed.” As we said in United States v. Cruikshank, 92 U. S. 542, 553 (1876), “[t]his is not a right granted by the Constitution. Neither is it in any manner dependent upon that instrument for its existence. The Second amendment declares that it shall not be infringed..."

This guy is right on the mark. God gave us the first Liberty... Free Will. Our Rights come from God & not any man or govt edict. This is why one of my pet peeves is ".... my Constitutional Rights...". I hate hearing that phrase.
