Principal accused of firing BB gun at students resigns

Recommended Posts

(Klamath Falls Herald and News) The principal of Tulelake High School has resigned amid allegations he shot at students with a BB gun during a school function last week.

On Tuesday, Superintendent Vanessa Jones, of Tulelake Basin Joint Unified School District, said Principal Dean Teig submitted a letter of resignation, which has been accepted by the school’s board of directors. Teig had been principal since 2014.

His resignation comes amid a district investigation into whether or not he shot at students with a BB gun during a celebration for seniors May 24 at the park in Tulelake.

According to allegations, students doused Teig with water from a cooler and the principal went home for a change of clothes. He then returned with a BB gun and allegedly fired at students.
